Thanks so much Chris! It was a Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday all in one! Everyone goes back to work tomorrow except for me so we celebrated several birthdays today while everyone was off from work. It was a nice day with family. It was cold, cloudy and rainy and great day to stay inside and keep warm and enjoy the company. I hope you and your family had a great Christmas! I just feel blessed to still be here at 66 after all that has happened over the last 9 or 10 yrs. It was wonderful to watch the great grands open and enjoy their gifts and all of "old foggies" sit around and do as little as possible! hehe Linda

Thanks Bev! It has been a very nice day and we did celebrate Christmas and Birthday together. Most everyone has to go back to work tomorrow. I think I will sleep late! We have alot of friends and family birthday in December so we try and combine some of them. I have 13 different occasions in Dec that call for gifts or celebrations besides Christmas. December becomes overloaded with clelbrations in our family! I feel very lucky to still be here at 66 after the last 10 yrs or so. There was a time that me and my family thought I would not make it after my surgery when I was 57. I guess everyday has been a clelbration for me since then. It was quiet today but I went to my son's for Christmas and we kinda celebrated 4 family members and 2 great friends birthday's all together! My DIL's lifetime best friend and my lifetime best friend (Glenda and Jenny) birthday's were today also. DIL, Son. Granddaughter and My Birthday have all come and gone since the 12th of Dec. The other ones were celebrated over the phone long distance. The youngest being 27 and Glenda was 66 today. I have always teased her about being a day older than I am ! I made two cakes for Christmas so that will be my Birthday piece of leftover cake! Linda

Thanks so much! Today was a great day spent with my son and his family. I tired out early and was home right after 2:00 PM but I did get to celebrate even if it was a day early!

Thanks so much! It will be my 66th and I feel real grateful to still be here! ( yrs ago I had a horrible surgery go bad and at 57 stayed in the hospital for a month and a nursing home for almost 10 months. I am still fighting with the aftermath of the surgery so It feels like a miracle to be able to celebrate each birthday since then! Celebrated today at my son's along with enjoying Christmas with the great grands!

Thanks Angie! Actually we all celebrated our birthdays today with a cake that I made. Grand-daughter's was the 12th, Son's was the 16th, DIL's was the 18th and my lifetime best friend was today. ( Linda and Glenda) We were miles apart but we did our thing on the phone this morning! We decided to all celebrate at the same time. At 66 you tend to want to forget them! hehehe Hey, Glenda will always be older than me (by one day)!! It really was a nice day with all of the family that lives close even if it was a day early.

Thanks Gerry! I have not even dressed today! It has been a rather relaxing day after spending the day at my son's yesterday. There were 2 wild little boys running around with Santa visiting the night before! I am glad today is very quiet! I was going to make me a cake but got lazy so I just bought a cream cheese pumpkin roll and it is great! That was what I had for breakfast.

Thanks! It has been very quiet today! My Pekingese keeps me company. She is a real swetheart. Everyone that walks trough the dorr falls in love with her......Well....with the exception of my DIL. She is OCD and cringes because I have a dog in the house. That might just be a good thing! hehehe

I lived in Swainsboro from 1963 until 1984 and my job transfered me to Sandersville, Ga. I was born in Macon but all of my Dad's family were from a tiny town not far from Swainsboro so I spend most of my time in and around Swainsboro when I was growing up. I went to school in Macon but come the week-ends we all ended up in Norristown, Ga which is a speck on the map outside of Swainsboro. Norristown was actually closer to Soperton than Swainsboro but we all use to end up in Swainsboro on the week-ends. That was where I met my husband(X). We were married 16 yrs and lived in Swainsboro. My son and I moved to Sandersville, Ga after he graduated because I was transfered there with my job. My son was planning on going to College in Milledgeville which was only 31 miles from Sandersville. The transfere worked out great for both of us. He actually did not leave home until he was 37 and he just turned 46. When he left home he moved to the Atlanta area for a new job and he is still working at the same place.
