Found a sourse for 1 GB flash drives at Tiger Direct for $5.99. Free shipping starts at $50.00.
I have not been able to find the 1 GB locally and thought others might also have the problem.

Big Lots had specials over Xmas on these. Got 16GB for 9.98 and they had smaller sizes also.

I have bought a few of the mini 2 GB from here, and just bought an external dvd burner, as the one in my laptop died. They ship very quickly and seem to have good prices.

My viking machine will read data off 1 gb and 2gb drives, but not 4 gb drives. I was able to get a 3 pack of Verbatim 2gb thumb drives on amazon for $13 with free shipping just last week.
