My daughter got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and wanted me to make her a temporary case. She liked the heather colored fabric that is somewhat the consistency of fiberglass and it shreds like crazy. Found a piece of felt in purple that was just enough to cover the device and used two pieces of fun foam for more protection. The design I think came from Sew Forum as she is a sci fi person and all the other designs I found for space were juvenile looking. Don't have a mega hoop so this was sewn on the machine. As usual I didn't measure except for the size of the felt plus enough to wrap around. She didn't want the felt cut and didn't want a handle so I worked around her specifics and she is happy with it. There is a case with a built in keyboard that she wants to buy in February so that's why this is temporary protection. Image 3 is with the Velcro closure and Image 4 I was down to the last bits of thread that matched.

It is the Amazon tablet for web, movies, music, apps, games, reading kinda like a mini computer. I even downloaded some designs to see what it could do. It is hard to say no especially since it needed protection.

You've done a very professional job, it is a pity it is not going to be used for longer. Maybe it will get passed onto another once your daughter has her new case with built-in keyboard.

Thank you. With the padding will repurpose it so she can use it with her camera lenses.

Thank you. I showed her a few designs and this is the one she picked. She was so happy with the case she showed it off at work today.
