Santa brought Jim & I a wonderful case of the flu and even though we like to share, we have stayed secluded to not infect others. We postponed his birthday celebration (he is a New Years Eve baby) until further notice..........the only thing we have really been able to do is keep the cat's fed, litter scooped and him & I hydrated.......pretty good, I'd say! I have missed many of your birthdays and I want to wish you all a Happy Be-Lated Birthday.....I just had a thought.... I could say that "2012 flu by".....LOL! Hugs to all...Vicki

Sorry you both were sick. i understand the flu this year is really bad. I had one friend that was sick the whole month of Dec. The stuff just kept coming back. Every time she got better , she would get sick again. Do you get the flu shot? Kay

Too cute,Kay, and my head swims like this little mouse's! Jim gets the flu shot, so he is sick with bronchitis......I am allergic to the preservative in the shots, so I can't have it, therefore that is what I got...UGH!

Thanks, Bev........one of the kitties threw up in the kitchen today, and Jim & I both looked at each other, like, who's going to clean it up? Well, I got elected...LOL! I told him this is the last time we both get sick at the same time!!!

Oh my, not how I would choose to have you spend Christmas. I know all about it though. My husband and I spent one Christmas very much as you have. It was miserable, but we actually ended up with some good stories from it. So rest, stay hydrated and get well soon.

That is horrible. We have had the stomach flu that lasted about 3-4 days. The first day the worst. Then we have had the upper respiratory crude. I am still down from it and have had it almost 2 weeks. I was started on antibiotics yesterday. Hope to be feeling better soon - but with all the g-kids coming in and out and them passing it around at school and at home I don't know.

We spent alot of time with "sickies" on Christmas Eve & Day, so I guess it was inevitable to get it! It certainly is a gift that keeps on giving...LOL! I hope you are soon well, it is so overwhelming to keep getting something one after another!!

Yep, I am thoroughly disgusted!! I started this latest crud on the last day of my antibiotics for the sinus infection...I go back to the ENT this Friday for followup.........

Everyone (mostly) has gotten sick around town.....You're right that we are getting it over with at the same time, but it's terrible to have to wait on yourself when sick...LOL!
