Lovely pineapple design. These blocks are pretty large by themselves. How large will this quilt be when it is finished? Can't wait to see it all done.

I think what you need is a hoop which is 35cm x 36 cm then you would be able to do the 4 blocks without rehooping, but I don't know what type of machine you have.Have you tried tacking them together by hand before sewing together by machine?Don't let the design get the better of you after all your hard work

I have done some of the newer quilt blocks from Anita Goodesign. Have you tried doing the tack down / basting of the borders in a matching thread (or in a washaway thread)? Then you would have them for cutting to size and for sewing together but they would not show in the end? You might also try sewing a teenie tiny amount inside the tack down / basting line (not sure if that will work for this design - mine are not like this with the bluework).... Love how you just keep on keepin' on with this project!

You have come up with lots of options. Maybe you can use the stitch outs for pillow shams or even placemats.

I would think it is as near to perfect as you can get it. Admire your patience lol. Like it with the ribbon too, with white ribbon matching the colour of the material. think will come down to what you yourself prefer.

i class myself new to embroidery and most i have learnt is from this web sight, i am not sure what you mean by tack down stitch but i have a topaz 30 and if you mean the basting square you press the fix button put the material where you want it then press start and it basts it down, i might of miss under stood what you meant but i thought it might help

I think you could use the same block joining techniques that are used at Hoopsisters...the link below has an instruction video you can watch and also download for free if you register...also check out the "Video" tab on the main site and you can watch additional videos for their Block of the Month project Goosetracks and others...I haven't made the Goosetracks quilt, but several friends at my dealers store did this in 2012 for a monthly project and I am planning to try my own quilt with this joining method...I did get the Trimmer by George to assist me...the videos take you through each part of the block, step by step and the techniques can be applied to almost any block in the hoop...

I cannot understand why you have the centre blue line should this be a tacking stitch, Anita Goodesign usually have good tutorials with them
It looked like the placements are perfect ,I did look if I had or could find this pattern to see what was happening,Just thought, the first sewing line you put on the stabilizer then line the squared fabric with this. You have great patience.

Well, if you can't delete them, enhance them. No need to cover them up with ribbon. A narrow satin stitch, not overly dense, over them would do. You've done such a good job getting those center lines right on top of one another that the satin stitch doesn't need to be very wide either. If the outside border line is going to show in the final quilt, I'd do that too. I'm concerned that if you add a ribbon type covering, that it would wear out faster than the quilt. You'd have to stitch that ribbon down on both sides to keep it from getting caught on things and that would be tedious.

What you are trying to do is very difficult. You have fabric with bat that moves around that makes it harder to do with ME than with simply quilting on your machine. Each time you stitch a block, you learn a little more. But the truth is, no matter how many blocks you stitch, some of them may have imperfect parts. I look at your photos and I think, "WOW, this is wonderful!" I admire your tenacity and look forward to seeing this quilt finished!
