Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. They have said Ray has stage three cancer and they are going to start treatment on the 21st Jan. 6 hours of chemo and then radiation in the afternoon. They won't give a prognosis but have said a positive attitude helps. He is going to have chemo and radiation at the same time .5 days a week for 6 weeks and cannot come home while having treatment and is expected to spend some time in hospital as there will be lots of side effects because of the size and placement of cancer . Meganne has been a rock to talk to and given us some great tips for Ray to help with side effects

Sending him hope and prayers for a recovery or remission! Chemo is so boring and that is a lot of hours to be getting it, mine was only 1 1/2 hours and I was bored. Now I am getting radiation and it only takes a few minutes once you get in. I hope his side effects are few and easy on him. Sending hugs to you both!

That is lot of treatment, but miracles do happen, I have seen it with my daughter in laws mother. It is AMAZING what they can do nowdays. I thought she had no chance and she has recovered and looks fantastic.
