I have to thank queenofhearts for posting her "bowls" for the microwave & the link http://syzygyofme.blogspot.ca/2012/06/microwave-bowl-potholder-and-tutorial.html

I thought that I would also give it a try since I have burned a finger or two. This was a neat Project & it went together quickly. If my family uses it I will make more. thanks again & it is reversable & I added a loop sew I could hang it up neat the micro-wave. With all the added bulk here I decided to round the corners too

So do you put it in the microwave with the bowl of soup or whatever? I've been wanting to try making a few of those, maybe I'll find time this week! Thanks for showing your work!

You put the bowl in the holder and when it is done you can use the tabs to help pull it out until you can get ahold of it.

yep from start to finish, It is great for a chili party too! & they can keep the bowl inside here to hold it & pretct their hands too! Or should I say their lap LOL

I wish that I had thought of adding a loop, it would be so handy. These are so easy to make and with a coordinating bowl from the Dollar Store it makes a cute, inexpensive gift that you can whip up in a hurry. I am going to make more as soon as I get more cotton batting.
