I used plastic (bought @a hardware store) on top and bottom to hold my thread in !!!http://www.mygardened.com/

This project really turned out nicely! I'm having a hard time seeing if you used one or two layers of plastic. It looks like the threads are caught between plastic layers as I cannot see any pokies! They'd make nice little tags to add to gifts throughout the year.
