Sad you have to join the FaceBook page to get free designs from Five Star Fonts and several others. I have an account with them and have purchased their designs. If I have to join their FB page and get all the crap that goes with FB, they can just close my account and I can purchase my designs elsewhere. I have a FB account but when you "like" their page you also get a bunch of junk. I don't need them.

I'm just disappointed that some pages give freebies just to the fb-likers and not to the members of their own yahoo-group :o(
I'm not on facebook and I don't wanna go there...

I don't do FB either, nor do I care that I might miss a free design. It also bothers me that when you register for a site that they want all this personal info as well. I feel it just increases my risk for identity theft. I can understand the need to register to keep out spammers, but they don't need all the info they want.

Another ex FB user. I went back recently for a peek and couldn't figure it out at all.
When I see a site pushing FB, I leave.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who will avoid them. If they can't post designs in their yahoo group or newsletter, then I don't need to visit the site to buy designs either.

I don't do FB either! So I'll continue with my faithful few sites, one of which is this one!

Easy remedy. Like the page. then click on the name, on their page go to liked and unclick 'show in news feed'. I have created a folder in my interests for all embroidery sites I have liked and just go there when I want to see what is happening on thier facebook pages.

Please dont 'knock' all facebook pages. I have my business on facebook and rely on people visiting my page.

I hate to color everything about FB with the same brush, but I'm glad to hear that there are some sites that pay attention to their customers' needs.

Just set up the account under an alias--the only "friend" who will see anything is Five Star Fonts--easy peasy :)

I don't need designs that bad to go to all that trouble. I've been embroidering for several years and have more designs then I will ever use both free and purchased. And I've been working on my digitizing designs. I just don't like the way they go about things.

I have a FB account but very rarely go there. Dislike it immensely but my family is on it. I much rather do with less designs or pay for them than signing up for a site just to get a Freebie and absolutely never if I have to go to Facebook.

I was hacked on Facebook and now never, ever go there. I can also do without the free designs - have so many lovely designs that I still have to embroider !!

I refuse to be on facebook and so when my friends send invites to join I just say thanks but no thanks. They can keep it. I have heard so much bad warnings about it so prefer to stay well away. Hugs Joyce

I don't do Facebook either, but the fact that I can't get a few free designs is not going to keep me from buying from them. I like their their ITH projects. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face, as my Nana used to say.

I do use facebook....it keeps me in touch with my family since I live thousand of milses from them. I saw you say mnladys that if they don't go to yahoo group etc ....all I get when I join yahoo is filthy emails from that site....so that is one I don't go to....all the sites have their downfalls but if you know how to use them the correct way there is a less chance to get hacked or dirty emails. If in facebook use a password that would be impossible to hack....use @ signs and a few others with numbers and words and change monthy and in yahoo report all bad emails.I have gone to many trusted sites and have had problems with them...Just use wisely

I get the dirty emails in the spam box, so don't even open the spam folder...just delete it when I go on. I wonder how they get emails to you.

I agree. I do NOT believe that my info should have to be exposed on Facebook just to get free designs. Too many bad things have gone on with facebook. I forgo the facebook thing.
