My latest bag.
I am so amazed by the talent of all of you, especially the designers who are so generous and share their designs with us. When I saw the wonderful fashion plate silhouettes that Katulle shared with us, I just knew I had the perfect piece of fabric to use and turn one of them into a gorgeous bucket style bag. I haven't yet decided on the handles for it, so am using my handy interchangeable ones, but regardless, I think it came out really well. Thanks Katulle for all your wonderful designs

Thanks for the feedback and warm welcome everyone! I've been silently 'lurking' for a while, but will definitely become more active on here now.
The fabric I used for this bag was a coarsely woven fabric so the openness of Katia's design matched really well. I did have to use a hair cloth interfacing and boning on the sides to give it structure but I was pleased with the way the elements all went together. I might even put up some more projects today!

What a beautiful bag. Very classy looking. I kinda like those handles. I have never seen any like them. They do remind me of suspenders though. Does any one remember suspenders?

They are exactly like suspenders! They are these nifty removable bag handles that I picked up at a craft/sewing expo last year just knowing that I would have a use for them. The clips are just like suspenders and the straps are leather. Great to use while deciding what handles to put on a bag! I'm thinking I might go tortoiseshell to match the button.
