All is not lost. There are many free software programs that will convert the format. Pulse Ambassador. Wilcom Truesizer. I'll get a link for you.

I would ask the person you got it from, maybe they can do the format you need.
Other than that, go download Embird, you can use it for 30 days, without paying for it. That way you can convert all your other designs as well

It is a good idea to have one of the free software programs that will convert format on your computer. After a while, you'll want to do other things like change size, colors, orientation, or edit the design in some way. There are several inexpensive (less than $200) programs available. So, you should start saving a few dollars a week now so that when you decide you want a program that does something more than just change format, you'll have the money already saved to purchase one.

I have the basic Embird software and love its many features like converting, minimally increasing/decreasing designs, merging designs, etc. It's only approx. $120, and one of the most inexpensive softwares. There are plug-ings you can purchase later, as you need them, that go with Embird for digitizing, monogramming, and photostitch. The one plug-in I purchased to go with my basic Embird is its Iconizer (approx. $20), that allows one to view designs in full color with all pertinent info within folders to which you have downloaded them, rather than just seeing format icons! Check out www.embird.net. I do not know how I ever did machine embroidery without Embird! Love it!
