I am looking for a free chatelaine pattern to display my Red Hat society bling on...does anyone know of a site that has one...have been looking but all are skinny ones...I could probably figure it out but want to make sure I get the proportions right...thanks bunches ahead of time.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for. Added a link for a project. If you could upload a picture more of what you have in mind that would be helpful.

I made one without a pattern, just took a fairly warm scarf and cut it to size to fit comfortably around neck area, and decorated mine with sewing machine, house with the roof appliqued on like a pocket for scissors etc I cut the length to just below bust, should be firm enough to hold shape, hope this helps

I made one using a sewing pattern with a neckline shape that was similar to the chatelaine, then added pockets on both ends to hold my thread and scissors.
