3 Notebook covers.
I started out to make something for the 2013 challenge, but at the embroidery machine decided the design I has chosen was too big for the cover. So I added a design of my own.
I liked the idea and did cover #2 - same idea, same design, different colours.
Could not stop and did #3 to test another design I made.
Colours are a bit bleached out by the flash.
#1 is recycled jeans with a remnant of "folklore" fabric
#2 coton with a linen stripe and #3 babyroy, two remnants.
And now I have to start something for the challenge.

Theay are all such nice book covers, Martine. #1 & #2 look so different with the color variations, even thought they have the same design. I also like the fabric you used for #2 - it looks so dainty. Is it a cotton print? Lovely work on all of them!

They are so easy to do and make great gifts. I usually buy a number of them the same size (at a cheap store hee in the Netherlands called Aktion), take a piece of tear-away stabiliser and make a pattern by folding it around the notebook and marking it. Make one, adjust the pattern a bit if necessary (sometimes seams take up more space than expected) and the following ones are easy.

These are great. I love making covers also. It takes a simple object and makes it super special for someone. I especially love your cotton one with the linen stripe. It makes your embroidery pop!
