Hi everybody!!! I need you to put your thinking cap and help me with ideas for a wedding gift, all I can think is towels, or kitchen napkins(she is not the type for cooking) what else can I do, I would like something original, is my brother's wedding, he loves computer and his motorcycle, I do not know too much her, except she is a teacher. Thank you.

My favorite thing for weddings is sheets with the monogram in the center of the top sheet and then his monogram on one pillowcase and hers on the other. You could also offer to a cover for the Bride's chair and Grooms chair, the ring bearer pillow, the guest register and any such other "wedding" related embroidered gifts.

I have done two table runners with the family names on them for weddings There is a great easy to sew table runner instruction on you-tube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp6eVzKF34w (cut and paste this address) Also you could do a personalized door welcome banner... a great motorcycle design on emb-library (F3199)...put a big red apple on the seat! Ha!

I usually commorate a wedding with a wedding sampler for the bride and groom to hang in their home...I sometimes take the inspiration for the sampler design from the wedding invitation. They are lovely when framed...

In the link from sewmom there are nice ideas. One of my favorites are the cameos from emblibrary. A cutie has made towels with them (have seen it in projects) and they looked georgeus.
Emblibrary has also a wonderful tutorial to stitch a wedding monogram. They have a lot of different designs (some for wedding).

If you know their living room colors. You could monogram a corner of a throw/lap quilt with their names and wedding date. Or a neutral color and use her wedding colors for the monogram.

If you know their bedroom colors you could make a nice monogramed pillow for their bed....also a monogramed shower curtain is a really nice gift....just make sure you use large letters...the first on I did looked "dinky" and is now my liner for my other shower curtain.
