I dug into my wool stash and felt basket and put together this Penny Rug all ith. I had to back track the tabs so need to re work the steps a little but thought I would share. This one is around five inches circle part in size with the tabs added it becomes close to nine. The design is not mine it said EG.Bird in my files.

Thank you.and if the one that made the bird sees I thank them for their bird. They are easy to draw, I just saw this in my saved designs and had to add it.

Thank you Jerri,Penny rugs are not actual rugs for the floor, but decorative coverings for beds, tables and mantles. Made of wool and felted wool and stands to reason spun wool and woven was fabric of choice as these first became popular.
I thought it was a game for kids or something when I first saw the project. So its used like a coaster or a doily.
I love the country warm feeling I get when I look at it.
