I just made this and want to try with metal tape measurer which this does not have. It has plastic blinds part in it cut to size. I took apart plastic blind to make a shade and saved my slats thought of tosing few times and kept feeling there is a use for these. This is small like around 3.25 by 3.25 ins. As you can see it works and I conquered my placement for the blind.

no Bev .i wanted to send them to u in this lovely purse lol .Yes they stoped making them we still got them for another few months likely .Well i could put Tooneies or loonies in them that's our one dollar and two dollars to hugs
we will always have the pennies - especially if the US doesn't get rid of theirs....our government is so foolish getting rid of them - makes the saying "a penny saved is a penny earned" rather obsolete. Course the rich have no use for pennies...... :0
by the way - nice use of old blinds for this - now I know what to do with the old ones I have - that I keep thinking I should get rid of.

I am sorry taking so long to check in on you all. The blinds thing hit me about a year ago but thought I would be waiting forever to get to make. I thought of the pennies too. I know the US ones not copper anymore might as well be plastic. But I hope to put this in DBC soon. I want to check with a metal tape also. I talked hubby out of one. He even set me up so it is easy reel me a cut. Thing is the metal tape is 3/4" so I need to bump space a little should not take too long.

Yes you will after I recheck adjusting for those whom would prefer a metal tape. I know they come in smaller width but most guys in general use the 3/4 in wide ones. The blinds are easy how ever to trim to 1/2 or 3/4 with scissors. I use tin snips on the metal tape as I hope to set that up here in little bit.

That is a little piece from upholstery fabric swatches a friend gave me. Sure is among the best of colors I have to agree.
