This is my attempt to make instructions for the penny rug.

First I put wool on front and back of my hoop for tabs. Did first color run as you see here in image 1. Once that stopped I took out of machine leaving in hoop and trimmed close. I let that go around in blanket stitch stopped it as it came to forth tab. Then as seen in image 2 used glue stick put touch in middle to put felt and then let sew the cirlcle stopped and took out to trim all the edges again. Placed back in and let it do that blanket stitch circle. Then it was last blanket stitch around tab. I then took those out took of of tear away and set up another round as you need about 8 tabs. Went through same process. I did the two rounds with blanket on the tabs with reg thread so it would be thicker and look more like handstitch I hope. See image three which is showing stitch and placing tabs where I wanted with glue stick I rubbed it on stablizer and at the first circle edge which I did after tabs in hoop to just that point and stopped with just circle. Once tabs in place hit the start button and I did it twice so it would show thread well again. Which brings us to image 4 Once the re stitch circle blanket stitch done.
