I made a huge blunder sewing out a redwork design on an old t shirt of mine. It has taken me two days to remove the stitching, leaving plenty of holes (picture 1) I have now appliquéd a heart design from GG Design Embroidery and merged 2 mini hearts on top (picture 2). I am pleased with the results. Sarah.

This way it is not so bad to make a blunder. Because it came out beautiful.
Thank you.

Beautiful! Now, for my two projects -- it won't take you more than a week unpicking them... Shall I send them to you? LOL
You really did great work!

I am sure you live too far away. What a terrible job it was. I have never had to unpick before and I hope not to have to in the near future. Thank you for your comment. Sarah.
Sarah, I was joking about sending you my unpicking work. I would not wish that on anyone. You are blessed that you do not have to do it as much as I do. It is a miserable job!

Thank you Bettina. The first design was a butterfly on a rose but it looked terrible. I was going to throw the t shirt away but decided that I would unpick.

It's beautiful! You certainly have more patience than I do to pick out all of the old stitching. May I ask what fabric you using for the patch that you fringed?

It is what we call seed cloth here in South Africa - like a thin calico.
Thank you! I'll see what I can find, I really like the look you created.
