lol I immediately thought of your sister the one that needed a 10 minute window treatment. Hope the size works for her. If not I know you will give away, keep, or donate to Sally's. lol

Know the feeling.... People assume that if you have a sewing machine you would love nothing more than to fix and do alterations on their clothing. HATE doing my own its such a chore.

My mother's older sister could look at a piece of clothing and go home and cut out and sew one that looked exactly like the other one. Used to drive me nutz. Dang she was GOOD. Now I will put several pattern together to get what I want, but can't do much without at least a starter piece.
You did a good job here.

I hate it too, especially when they add "you are so good at that", as if that means it does not cost time and effort.
But you did a good job, as always, you are so good at it :)

I used to sew professionally, making custom window treatments, and I have learned to say no when someone wants me to make "something little or quick". I tell them that I don't have the proper equipment to produce the standard of work that I hold my self to, so I don't sew in my home. That usually settles it without being rude.

Ok well were do u sew valentine???

They look great. I, too, was given some fabric and an old nightie to make some more for a particular person, I would call the size that I had to make 'a tent'!! I did not enjoy making them - not the sort of sewing that I want to do so this year is my new year resolution. "NO, I don't sew for other people"

lol i just can't say No to well lol hugs

It's amazing what the non-sewers can come up with isn't it? The least she could have done was take apart the old nightgown!!!! They do look great though.

That's what my one daughter used to do to me all the time. Even when it came to her prom and grad dresses (and she was living almost 500 miles away that year). She knows that I don't like bought patterns - I make my own.
You did great!
