The holes are eyelets that I put in-can be bought at any habedashery shop.

I do not have a pattern for the bags I make.... just embroider,cut a shape and lining,plus batting(compressed thin but firm to hold shape)and sew
good for you! that's the way I like to make a bag, too!!

This really does look stunning. Love the bag, and it's a great showcase for such an outstanding design. The grommets/eyelets are a terrific idea to thread the scarf/fabric through. Thanks for showing us.
