I bought this stripped shirt at Sears cause it was/is heavy and warm for our winter .
Well i washed it and it shrunk up and sideways so i made another piece for the bottom ,now its in the wash again .
Will see how it comes out this time ****if it shrinks again i heave it lol

Good job. You know that Sears would have taken it back with a full refund. I buy most of my clothing at Sears and have never had a problem with returns.

I thought of that but it was a birthday gift and i hated to ask .But i love Sears for that thank u jerrib
I hope it worked out well, with what you did. It really looks good. If it is still too short, then you could do the same as you did, but higher up in the shirt
thanks for another great idea hugs
Your welcome, glad to be able to give back sometimes.
I have had so much help here, just nice to return the favour.

I just hate when you buy something neat .. then wash it and it shrinks and shifts and twists.. you did a great save here.. I would have taken it back even though it was a gift.. made in China or some place like that..

You made a great recovery. I'm not sure I would have thought of that. Thanks for the idea.

I think looks better with the add on. I hope to revamp some items but not going to attempt till I get my file mass organized almost there then will put on back up and more back up.

It looks great with it's new edging but I think it should have been returned to the store. In this day and age garment should not shrink. Well saved.

Nice looking shirt. I just hate it when they shrink up and out. You can take in the side seam, but have to do something more original for the shrinking up part. Good job. I've got one that doesn't have a placket and I'm thinking about adding a strip just below the sleeves with something embroidered across it. When am I going to find the time?

Don't you hate when you spend good money on clothing only to have it shrink up? But you did a good job with the bottom. I actually like the shirt much better now. Hopefully you will get some good wear out of it.
