I had this thought in my head to brighten up our expected Grandsons bedroom, so here it is. The kite is cotton stitched on to fleece, the bottom half of the kite opens up into a pocket so it can be used as a travel cushion when he is older, I have attached magnetic fasteners but stitched fabric over them for safety. The hanging strap can be removed and kite tail can be shortened,

Very cute BUT, if he is still an infant you might want to hang on the wall a few years. The closure and kite string could become dangerous. I love the idea in making the cushion dual purpose and the colors are wonderful.

He is not born yet, he is due in May, I have put a hanger on it fr the wall, and the tail can be shortened when he starts to use it. My Son said he needed some bright colours on the wall, and this fitted the bill.
o and the mettle closher is compleatly covered with fabric sewn very well. i did make sure of that. but thank you for pointing it out, we can never be too careful. hugs Pam.

You managed to give what was asked for and a little more well done i like the fact that you have safety in mind with the tail and closure. I can see this being a favourite for a lot of years..thanks for sharing marian

I like how you think. If you can think it, it can be made. Delightful for the baby's room.
