What a strange week Ray and I are having.........

on Friday a friend's daughter delivered his first Grandchild, a baby girl.

On Sunday morning we were woken by a phone call from Ray's cousin, her sister had passed away. Ray grew up with the two girls, having no siblings himself, he looked on them as his sisters. Understandably he is pretty upset as she was the same age as him. We can't even tell Ray's mum that her sister's daughter has passed away as she no longer remembers her nieces, only her own sister.
We'll have to drive 3 hours to attend the funeral on Thursday and get respite care in to look after mum.

Then this Saturday my niece is getting married and my son, and youngest grandson, are celebrating their 41st and 1st birthdays, respectively.
Of course the wedding will take precedence over the birthday party so we'll have a 1 & 1/2 hour drive to Sydney. We have to be there before midday but Ray will only get home from work at 6 AM so I guess I'll be doing the driving.

All this on top of my two dear friends being in hospital, my cousin's husband passing away suddenly, and all the sad things happening here at Cute and the floods here in Aus......
My emotions are in turmoil as they get bounced from one extreme to another.

Such is life.........

Now to find something in my wardrobe, that is suitable to wear to each occasion, that still fits me, and a handbag large enough to hold a box of tissues.

Hugs and blessings to all, Meg

It seems to me that troubles don't come in drops; they come by the bucketful and all at once. I pray you find the strength to deal with all of them and the people you love.

May the joys in the week tenderize some of the sorrow and losses. In the ministry, we talk about hatched, matched and dispatched -- you've had it all! I hope you find joy in seeing your loved ones at all these events and in hearing the stories.
