I finally finished a baby quilt for one of my friends. She became a Grandma for the first time. I am sorry I don't remember where the designs are from. The file just said Colorline Toys by Lynn C. I have had them for a long time, and just thought they were so cute for this project.

It is all done in Minky front and back.

Minky front and back -- I am impressed!

Thank you. Its not a large quilt. The squares are 5.5x5.5 and the border is 3". Just makes a nice baby gift and something no one else will give.

Thank you Carolyn. It really wasn't alot of work. I did all the designs in one day, then all the lettering another and cut out all the squares. Put it together today. Still needs a bath to get rid of the stablizer, but I am very happy with how it looks.

Very nice Jerri. I love the way you incorporated all the baby's birth information. Very clever. Quite a keepsake you've created. Hugs, Susan

Thank you Susan. I have been making personalized baby quilts for quite a few years. People really like the idea of adding the birth info. I had a lot of printed baby panels and used to add the birth info all around the quilt. A gift that is unique and special. I love doing this for people.

Thank you. I had intended on doing all the designs in just blue, but the sections wouldn't be lost in each other. The back is just blue.

Beautifully done Jerri - WOW what a big baby at 9lb 9oz! I love Minky fabric, it's one of those fabrics you just gotta get down and roll your face and body all over it! Love it! Love Chris

Thank you Chris. The dad was a big baby when he was born too.
Minky is my favourite for baby quilts, just fussy to work with. I made myself a housecoat out of it a couple of winters ago. It washes so well and is very cozy.

Thank you and also for putting up the link for the designs. Someone else might like them enough to make something with them. I appreciate your helping.

Now I see the designs done in just one colour, I wish I had done it this way. I really do like them just in blue. I didn't think the animals and toys would stand out as much, but they do.
Oh well, maybe next time.

Thank you Michelle. It was fun to make and not one pucker in the back. Its always a challenge working with minky as its so stretchy and slippery. I am very please with how it turned out.

Beautifully made and love the color line blocks. The color helps break up all the solid blue and white blocks.

Thank you, the designs stitched out beautifully and very quickly, so its a gift that really doesn't take that long to make and always loved by those that receive them as gifts.

What a fantastic idea to incorporate all of the information in to the designs! Not only will the parents remember but baby too will know something about himself that is pretty special. Awesome!!! I may have to borrow your idea for my next baby blanket! I usually put the info on the back, but the front is far more fun!!

I have made so many over the years and everyone that receives them, loves the birth info added. I have also done this with store bought Baby panels. I lost track as to how many I have made. Didn't have a camera, when I started. I have also made minky pillows with designs and birth info. Endless ideas, but everyone loves the quilts for gifts.

Beautiful quilt. I can see why everyone that receives one loves it. I like the colorwork vs using one color. The color keeps it from being too blue.
