Several of the Yahoo groups have lists in the files area. I know the groups I belong to have to spend so much time trying to keep him out.

This is good letvia, this man really gets around, I did DL some of his stuff way back yonder before I knew all the facts & luckily had no problems or bugs n the comp. from him, but I stay as far away as I can get now. *4U 4 keeping everyone informed.

It usually will not let me go somewhere I should not be! It will give me all kind of warnings and shut down the site I am trying to get to if it has a problem. I have Norton and it updates daily. My son picked out the security and I paid for it. He installed it also. He is sort of a computer Geek but hates to take up any time with me to teach me anything. I belong to several Yahoo groups also and have seen list alot longer than this one posted several times. What I want to know is, how has he invaded Yahoo groups when they have been posting his addresses for so long? This does not make sense to me! My Norton has never kicked any of his listed names out like they have others. I still panic everytime I run across a RAR format because his started out being RAR if I am not mistaken. I have a note posted on top of my computer sent to me a long time ago from a yahoo group member www.embroidery4show.com is full of virus/worms DO NOT OPEN but I have never run across it. It was posted that it could not be removed! I do not know much about computers but how do you know that? If you can get it why can't you get rid of it?

Hi Cuties,
in this context I want to share some thoughts with you.
First: don't panic- viruses do not cause hardware damage and you can do a lot to protect yourself.
Have a Antivirus/ Firewall programm running while surfing, have a virus check while downloading.
There are free programms available which work fine.
And do not be dewy-eyed with your identity.
It is ok when you start a freebie download as "Wilma Flintstone".
Take care to save your precious files outside your computer (burn a CD, send it to an external harddrive or use an USB stick to save, save, save)
Not only because of viruses but because of computer breakdown too - it isn't constructed for eternity.
So if worst case happens, you can easily... well, you could reconstruct where you have been before the crash. ;-)
This is no reason to panic.

Now second: the bad mohammed list is cursing through embroidery forums for 2 years now and even the very last embroiderer should have taken notice now. This makes the sites worthless to the "owners" and they have to look for other distribution channels.
One is to join communities like Facebook or Yahoo as "Wilma Flintstone" or let's say "NYCitizen" to get in contact with potential victims.
We surely had a visit here and are still under observation.
This is not "Fletchers Visions", this is fact.
So just look who you trust and don't worry too much.

A question for all those computer gurus, can the list that letvia has made be put into Internet explorer to automatically block the sites from being visited

Back TTT with reference to todays (July 17th) from Iflanders and any other new cutie who would benifit from this info.

Interesting that there are sites that sound/look similar to GOOD sites ie bestembroiderydesign/designs_garden. Really have to be so careful.

Don't forget to add in the e.lazaz one, that is the latest they are using. Print this and keep it by your computer for when you see a new site to go to. Now, as far as I know it is just a virus risk and most anyone with a computer these days has virus protection but you just never know.
