I have been making tissue holders in dark indigo denim. I tried ordinary cotton to embroider the 'slit' as the cotton matched the denim well. It has sewn beautifully but will the cotton damage my new machine? Sarah

Do you mean 100% cotton thread? It will not damage your machine, but does make a lot of lint so be sure to clean out the bobbin area often. Hugs. Nan W
