This project turned into two kinda. I was making applique egg cover, did one fsl, one with snipeys and whoops tooooo short. Sewwwww I was staring at my whoops and thought this is flower petals for Easter craft show something I am not wasting. I then took the short panels sewed them half way up rinsed them as they did have some wss. once mosly dried I cut some 1/4 inch 3in long strips of felt got me a green pipe cleaners out and made a hook put the hook around the felt middle put straight stick part through hole I had at bottom and cut some felt leaves glued to pipe cleaner and saved my whoops egg. Then made applique type size that fit. The fsl worked great but was to rough for me to hand sew. My right hand thumb area is still on the mend. Not bad for a flub got two projects done.
