this is my first minky project & boy is it messy! But sew worth the effort, this pillow is for Lila's 2 cd birthday today & she is a HUGE woody fan. It is a 14" square & yes I made the insert too. It is super soft!

It doesn't look messy. You are too hard on yourself. I have worked alot with minky, and it is stretchy and slippery, but so worth the end results.
I even made myself a housecoat out of the bumpy minky a few years ago and it still looks like new.
Just use lots of pins to keep it from stretching.

Yes it does that, for sure. I bought myself a long time ago a cordless little hand held vacuum for just this. I love it and use it more than my big vacuum. Works great for quick cleanups.
