Well, this is my version of Sue's purse. I did it with some extra fabric so I can have either the plain or the floral. I hope Sarah sees this as this is the piece of fabric she sent me, after I commented on her beautiful shirt she made.

In my eagerness to finish it off I was ironing the ribbon and I burnt it!!!! You can see the bit of burgundy stuck in the middle of the lower edge in the second picture! I put a lovely heart and roses on the front from Earla's embroidery site. Love and blessings Chris

P.S. Oh! well back to the drawing board, I'll try another one later next week!

Well, it's lovely - even without the ribbon. Accidents will happen... especially when we are in a hurry. Sorry it had to happened to you this time. Seems the faster I try to finish something, the more I have to "re-do". I am better off just taking my time.

It's lovely Chris.
Can't you just kick yourself when you do something like that. Just recently I melted the cutaway stabiliser when I ironed a finished embroidery on linen from the back. Got one messy iron and a lot of trouble to remove hard bits from the embroidery. And my pressing cloth was right next to me!

Pretty combination! Sorry about the burning. I had my elastic in wrong,in my haste, on my first one and redid it on the sewing machine. Glad it didn't stop you.:)

At least you fixed it. I'm not going to bother with a loop now as it just folds over the camera quite nicely. Love Chris

Absolutely beautiful!
I think most have had an iron accident or two. ;) Please, don't let that stop you! You did a lovely job and Sarah's fabric gift -- lovely!

Sue, I had no idea you were related to Pinocchio...my new claim to fame. ;)

Isn't it just gorgeous? Sarah (airyfairy) made a blouse out of it and I wrote to her to ask if she could buy some for me. It was the last of the roll! So bless her heart, she sent me the bit that she had left! I thought this would be a great little gift to sew it into. Love Chris

Chris - this made me laugh as I have just finished my purse. I used elastic for the loop and melted it with the iron!!! "My" material looks lovely and I am so pleased that you have found a use for it. Love the heart design you have used. Hugs Sarah.

Thanks so much Sarah - what are the odds that you did that too? I felt such a goose, but thought it would be o.k. without a loop and it is. My camera fits in there perfectly. Love Chris (JUST LOVE THIS FABRIC TA!)
