Well, this is my version of Sue's purse. I did it with some extra fabric so I can have either the plain or the floral. I hope Sarah sees this as this is the piece of fabric she sent me, after I commented on her beautiful shirt she made.
In my eagerness to finish it off I was ironing the ribbon and I burnt it!!!! You can see the bit of burgundy stuck in the middle of the lower edge in the second picture! I put a lovely heart and roses on the front from Earla's embroidery site. Love and blessings Chris
P.S. Oh! well back to the drawing board, I'll try another one later next week!
Hugs, Lidia
Can't you just kick yourself when you do something like that. Just recently I melted the cutaway stabiliser when I ironed a finished embroidery on linen from the back. Got one messy iron and a lot of trouble to remove hard bits from the embroidery. And my pressing cloth was right next to me!
I think most have had an iron accident or two. ;) Please, don't let that stop you! You did a lovely job and Sarah's fabric gift -- lovely!
Sue, I had no idea you were related to Pinocchio...my new claim to fame. ;)
