Just a thought......Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... But it's

only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra
penny going to?

one is asking what you are thinking about as in dreaming and the other is saying give us your opion. mabe one is valued a little more. but didn't a penny become 2 cents.

Well, I'm a Jew... so where you have 2 Jews, you have 3 opinions... so I figure I really don't need the other Jew, I can come up with 2 opinions (cents) on my own... and it's going to cost more than a penny for my thoughts... inflation has made the term outdated, so I'm lookin' at a quarter at least. Does any of that make sense? Not sure I can even follow that! LOL LOL... xoxo Have a blessed day sister!!!!

Maybe it is inflation - a penny for your thoughts, but putting your two cents in (inflated). What the correct respone - you made us all think about this one!

While "penny for your thoughts" seems kinder and gentler "put in my 2 cents worth" seems like giving your opinion when not asked. Since it is nicer to ask than to tell, it should cost less to ask someone something and more if you are going to give your opinion when not requested. Confusing enough?

Hi Jerilyn:
I just wanted to mention that we have similar names.
Mine is Jerrill. I have only met one other person with your name, but she spelt it Jerrilyn. Just a very unique name.
Have a great weekend
Jerri (Jerrill) from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada

Aussie pennies disappeared with decimal currency, the smallest we have is 5cents or 6 pennies so not sure where we stand
