It has been brought to my attention that most people put the hole on the top outside of the towels but this has been my experiences with doing them that way: have done them like that before but then the hole stretches out sew now I do them abit lower & they last longer going on 3. & ahalf yrs now, I also add cutaway stabilizer to the backs sew it gives them extra strength in the hole! Our grands & god~children use their towels in kid fashion sew they toss them & grab them & pull them off the hooks in the bathroom & they seem to stand up alot better then the ones I first started to make. sometimes I have even folded the top corner down sew it is included in the stitches too!
