Wow - I went to have my eyes measured and etc for the cataract surgery, then was given (3) Rx for me to fill prior to the surgery....well, you out there having cataract surgery, prepare to be shocked at the prices. Of course, our insurance won't cover what they doctor wants me to use, and I would have to sign a waver for him if we went with another type of medications.

Needless to say, these are not cheap, and without the insurance to cover them kinda of hurts. One perscription alone was $300, the other (2) were close to $150 each, and one of those I have to have refilled 3 times. But, as DH says - your eyesite is worth that. I go in for the surgery on April 8th. I hope all goes well - and those of you going through this out there - good luck with all of it. We do have an excellent doctor and as he says - he will take care of me, and hopefully give me eyes that will make my hobbies more pleasurable. Hugs to all of you and Happy Easter.

Ouch! Ouch! At those costs, Of course, THE most important thing is the improvement to your eyesight and I wish you the very best and every success for the 8th. April and beyond.

Thank you all - just to let you know...it pays to shop around and "beg" My insurance will pay for the more expensive, but I still have $170 co-pay, the manufacturer of one sent a debit card, and I only pay $40 for each refill - and was given samples for the other. So...good people out there. At least we do have insurance, where many people do not, and do not get the medical coverage they do need. I did have one doctor's office tell me that they would not treat me for something else because of my insurance...that just stinks! Hapopy Easter!
