Wanted to show u how i make my coasters smell :):)

#1 buy some cloves#2 bag them and smash them with your hammer (not to much)#3 Sew your design whatever it may be I am sewing Highlandersmoms cross stitch humming bird #4 choose backing and padding .I am using old mattress pad #5 add your cloves either in a bag or loose.I put them loose as the smell more #6 sew backing then cut it out and your done:):)
I put mine loose cause there good sized pieces and when they quit smelling i hit them with the hammer(on the floor) and break spices open and u get more smell lol hugs Carolyn

Brilliant idea Carolyn and I can just about smell it. My smellavision isn't working at the moment, but I can imagine it! I'd love them with Cinammon especially at Christmastime. You could even put Lavender and Rose in as well. Actually the list is endless. Well done, love and blessings Chris

I need me one with some rosemary in it to pep me up and one with lavender to tone me down most generally. Gk's have been keeping me well worked out past couple of days. No need to relax I just zonk once my head hits pillow. They blast me right outta bed. Love your coloring. Thank you for stitching out I at least see someones view of my doodles besides mine.

Great idea, Carolyn, as always! If you did want to remove your cloves etc for washing, you could also make your backing out of 2 folded pieces of fabric which overlap at the centre. That way you could slip your smelly stuff in inside a sachet, and take it out to either pulverise it some more or replace it, should you have the urge :)
