This is definitely not my field but I have looked at several sites which specialise in this merchandise (there are hundreds). Of course, the wording required by your friend will be important and may dictate the overall size of the card. A lot of the card designs nowadays appear to rely on a photograph of baby but this may be a step too far. Another visual idea might be to incorporate the silhouette of baby's hand or foot if this information is available to you.

I like what you have done in the past, since they are in the same family I would stick with what I was doing, but I am too matchy matchy. If I wanted something new, I might put a frame or an accent piece (butterfly) on it somewhere,.
