Dear Ruby users please rush to the rescue
How do I get my maschine to read the designs from usb stick.
I have tried both, reading the old usb with my pes designs, as it says the Ruby can read pes and I saved one design on a new and empty stick in vp3 with hoop size in limit (checked that) from Embird to stick.
All sticks show the files in windows and in Embird, and sticks are read by the Brother machine ok.
When I open the internal designs of Ruby they show up and I can open them. When I move to external and click on usb the usb shows up and then I click to open file, it goes one step further but nothing shows up, not even with the viking usb which came with the machine.
My question is where do I fail? Do I have to conect the 5D from computer to machine directly once to balance communication and to get them to talk to each other? If yes – why? Is there a trick on opening usb stick files on the Ruby? Or is there a limit of MB / GB to the stick. Only save as from 5D possible?
I would like to do a Happy Dance with you and celebrate my new Ruby but after fiddeling for 2 days just to load one of my designs the dance must wait.
Many thanks in advance for you takeing time to look into this.
I deinstalled all 5D (mini version) and set up new. Now I can read all sticks. Wonder what is differnet now ??? But it works.
