I buy my Robison Anton threads from Shoppers Rule.com
Even with the cost of postage they are still much cheaper than anywhere I could buy them here in Aus.
I prefer to purchase the bulk lots of Your Best Collection 50 or 100 spools as you can choose your own colours and they include 10 or 20 envirotubes for storage.
The member price is cheaper, membership is free and you earn points for every dollar spent, you get extra discounts and newsletters by email which tell you of their specials.
I highly recommend them.
For bobbin thread I buy the largest Madeira cones from Allstitch. com
I hope this helps.
hugs n roses, Meg

I buy my threads from an Australian company in Brisbane, Queensland.
Threda Threads. The thread stitches out beautifully, never had a problem. One flat charge for delivery. Just placed an order for their varigated threads this morning.

Thanks Cuties for all your help. I'm leaning towards Marathon Threads. they have both black & white bobbin fill and although I don't claim to know what I'm doing, my machine (Brother4000) seems to prefer polyester thread over rayon. Thanks, Lyn xx

Hey Pauline, thanks heaps. Have you used his bobbin fill? It only comes in white - will this be a problem when using dark colours??? Sorry to be a bother. Lyn. xx

Lyn i am certain he has black to. But i use the same thread as the top. For the price of the spool you can afford to do that. You know how people have trouble with the black breaking. With this thread it doesnt. Just a tip....Where are you?

I'm in Canberra. I went to my local "Brother" dealer yesterday wanting thread. She tried to sell me rayon saying it's the best, it's what you should use etc. I asked her why then is Brother brand thread polyester - she says "oh, is it??"

Interestingly, my Brother dealer prefers rayon too (for using on her machines) though she does sell the Brother thread packages (yes, they're poly) and they go on sale every Mothers' Day, so that's the best time to buy those branded packs (they're around 1/2 price then).
