Another design with buttons. This one is Little Weed (stitched on scrim and mounted on an artists canvas.)
Who else remembers the Flowerpot Men? (1950's UK childrens' TV)

Actually, the real Little Weed didn't look much like this. It is more the flower pot connection.

Ah! The Flowerpot Men......................and then there was Andy Pandy, Muffin the Mule........................but my all-time favourite was Camberwick Green and my heroes from Trumpton. Sorry...getting carried away here. Just to say that Bill and Ben would be delighted with your latest creation.

Dear Sue,
Ooh! yes I remember them from when I was a wee lass in Adelaide. I used to love "Little Weed" with its high pitched voice! I remember the Flower Pot Men spoke a weird (to us anyway) sort of English. I just checked it on the Internet and they called it "Oddle Poddle". My favourite line was at the end when they were saying goodbye to the little Weed - "Baba pickle Weed" and Weed always cried out in a very long and high pitched sound Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!!! Thanks for the memories. Love and blessings Chris
P. S Love your little flowerpot too!
