Hi Cuties: I just purchased an Elna 8300 embroidery machine. A sewing shop close by has had it in her store for a while so I got a really good price on it. If anyone has one, please give me any info you have for the machine. How you like it etc. I do have a Pfaff 7570, but wanted something with a larger hoop area, so didn't want to pay a fortune for a new machine. My repair guy is a friend and said it was a good price for the machine.

You will love the USB capability. I don't know anything about Elna's. the USB has been great with the Viking.

Thank you. I hope I am as happy with it as my Pfaff. I won't get rid of the Pfaff as it a a sewing/embroidery machine.

Thank you Susan: I am excited to try it, but the lady gave me the wrong plug, so will have to wait for her to drop it off on her way home.

Woot! I am so happy for you! I think it is awesome that you now have a bigger hoop. I don't know anything about the machine -- but I am sure someone will come along that does.

I have an ELNA Expressive 820 which is previously known as the ELNA8300. It is not my only machine but has become my favorite. Works like a dream.

I hope I made a good choice in buying it. If I run into problems, may I ask you for help? I can give you my e-mail address in a Private Message. It will be nice to have someone that has some knowledge about its features. I am nervous as its been a very long time since I have had to learn another machine and technology has changed so much.
