I made this queen size quilt for my neighbor's pre-teen son. He loves it! I machine quilted on my regular sewing machine as I do not hand quilt and can't afford to send it out to have it done. It came out great though. The boy's Dad said it was perfect! I told him not to look too closely or he'd see the mistakes. He just laughed. It's really nice when others appreciate your hard work.
Hope you all like it as much as this young man does!

Love the color especially for a young boy. The stippling must have been difficult to deal with so much fabric.

yes it is beautiful, and the machine quilting will give it a much more 'hand' made look -- which I sometimes think is better than the perfect look of the long-arm.

Your quilt looks great as does your quilting. I never tried anything larger than 5 feet square, well done on such a large quilt!

Great job. I have wanted to quilt one of my quilts but just can't get started on it. Think I will try a small one before I tackle one this big. Love the materials you used.
