The narrow one looks more like a plate. The wide one looks more like a place-mat or perhaps a wall hanging? They are both equally nice, it just depends on what look you are wanting.

Well my goodness wide one and that was done almost with enie meenie took a while to decide. Love the Church wide frame best. Hope that helps.

For a subtle effect, I like the narrow one. For a punchier effect, I like the wide one; it all depends on the purpose...

Very lovely work! As others have mentioned, it depends on what they are going to be used for. Thanks for the scale so I could see that they are 6 inches. The wide bordered one is too small to be used as a placemat and would be lumply under a plate, but as a "doily" it would work well. The smaller border would be good framed as it would lay flatter under glass. If you were to use one for the back of a jacket, I'd actually do a medium border...more work for you! The wide border can overpower the design and might be lumpy , and the thin border would not define the design enough to stand out.

They are both beautiful. I like the wide border because I think it makes the picture stand out and look finished. I guess it really depends what they are going to be used for. You are so creative and love to see your projects. Hugs Mary
