Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I have posted anything here. I have alot on my mind lately. I am fed up with drs. that don't prescribe medications for a long enough time to get rid of an infection. I was in the hospital last November for 5 days. When released I wasn't given a prescription for the meds necessary to finish getting rid of the infection and I ended up not feeling up to par for months. I spent 7 hrs in the ER Sunday again. This time meds for 10 days instead of 5. Hope it works.
Then I find out someone broke into my grandsons pickup and stole his bike. His bike is his stress medications. As he puts it 'it is his life'. This kid lost everything years a few years back along with his family. They had had all they could handle of Stockton, CA and the violence after someone tried to kill my daughter and her husband with a knife. So they packed up and moved to Montana very unprepared. We helped out where we could but they still ended up in a shelter because the house they were buying hadn't cleared escrow. They were in the shelter for about 6 weeks. My daughter had a broken foot at the time. Then she died having my gd and they brought her back and much more. Now this. I am glad I am a religious person because without God I would most likely be in a corner muttering weird things and pulling my hair out. I hope with God's help the bike is found. My gs was suppose to be in a movie on it. It's what keeps him out of trouble.Like he said 'it is his life. Sorry for blabbing on and on. I am having trouble sleeping tonight and had to vent.
I think of the poem 'Footprints in the Sand' at times like this. I feel we sometimes get sick for a reason ...sometimes to find things out and at times to help others. If God can't get us out of the house one way he will find another or just maybe the person needing help is in the ER. I know we are suppose to touch one another's lives and there are so many ways to do it.
'Footprints in the Sand' brought me peace years ago (1988). A lot was going on then, as well. I did just about sit in a corner and pull my hair out then. I will never forget going to the golf course with a friend and while walking to one of the holes for some reason I stopped on the hill and recited the 23rd Psalm. On another hole from out of nowhere about 10 golf balls landed around me within feet.(this is something that NEVER happens) Some man was yelling at the people who hit the balls. I like to think it was a message that everything was going to be alright. I went to a private school and had since questioned my faith. That day my faith returned. 10 fold.
