My mother had "button up" shoes when she was a child.
I am not that old and I have a pair (without the buttons) like these. My husband calls them my "Mary Poppins shoes" quite similar -- except unlike this pair, mine are both black LOL

I did a blue varigate. I figure it's old, it's new, it will be borrowed and it is blue! Lol!
They are VERY pretty! I thought the blue bit was just the fibers. Oops sorry. I will try to put on my old people glasses. LOL
