ok can you stand one more? They get easier as I do them & you are only limited to the fabric stash on hand! Now that I have this pattern pretty much down & will have to look for more ideas for more clothes. This will probably save her parents a few dollars?

You are doing a wonderful job and teaching your granddaughter some valuble lessons as well. As the mother of three girls, with many Barbies, I made more Barbie outfits than I can recall. My girls' dolls probably never had a store bought dress other than the one they came with but they were very well dressed and some of the clothes were those that the girls made on their own. Those were the days when kids used their imaginations and a Barbie bed might be a shoe box with a washcloth bedspread or a overturned margarine dish made a table and empty spools with a little padding on top made chairs. The kids of today, for the most part, have lost that ability to be creative. Everything now has to come from a store.

wow that spools for the chairs is a great idea, I will be using that too if thats ok. The table & bed we did that too ;), well we used a orange crate for the bed. Thanks & hugs Loralye
