Hey! Christine and I finally got together after about a year of trying! We met in Denver, where the weather was wonderful. We didn't get to stitch together, but we did get to Sew and Tell. When Christine says she stitches all the time, she REALLY means she Stiches ALL the time - I couldn't believe her collection of designs all stitched out. She gave me one to take home to hang in my sewing room. Then we went to Joanne's together and bought some beautiful shades of organza - fabric overload for me. Christine then led me to a great little hole-in-the-wall Italian place for Calzones! What a blast, and of course we talked about all the Cuties we know and all the embroidery websites. Christine remembers where each of her designs come from - she's amazing! We didn't get to stitch this time... maybe next time! We were thinking we should drive the Colorado Cuties over to Grand Junction Co, to meet up with the Utah Cuties.. sometime..... We could pack up the machines in the back of my car...... Wouldn't that be fun?

It sounds like you not only had a great time together but have plans to get together more often and even include other cuties. Way to go! And yes, it would be fun. Hope you get to not only make your plans but to carry them out.

Thanks Jan, and Bev, I am not very photogenic, in fact my FB pic is from a ways back. lol! I think a road trip would be in order if we could arrange for the Utah ladies to meet us. It was really great to meet you Jan, and if I hope we visit whenever you come to town.

you are so right. It does matter, I took a pic with shirlene when I looked totally snow/wind blown. We have no excuse except it was Jan's job! Lol!
You get me in the city, and I just don't know how to act! There are all these traffic lights, and stores! My head was spinning! I nearly hyperventilated in Joanne's and I kept losing Christine! She spent more than I did, though!

How wonderful for you two ladies to meet. I'd love to meet both of you - maybe one day when we visit America/Canada I can catch up with you. So glad you got to chat about everything. Hope you can do it more often. Love and blessings Chris

Yep.........sounds par for the course. Giving of gifts, window shopping followed by real shopping, rest and sustinence in an Italian followed by much nattering (I thought my ears were burning), no stitching done but a planned infiltration of the Utah Cuties territory. Clearly, a successful day.

I will try to save my pennies (and all my other coins and bills) in order to attend. I have room in my Suburban for a few more machines and a Cutie or two as well.

Grand Junction has not only a Joanne's but also a couple of sewing stores, and a sewing machine store that has a Sewing Retreat with discounts at a hotel. I can't do it this year... but maybe we could save up for next August.!!!
