OK, everyone, I will be stitching a full back logo on some nylon "coaches" jackets. I have never stitched on this material......what type needle do you recommend? Thanks.....Vicki

I'd use a (new) ball point. Nylon is really bad about getting runs in it. Now, I've never stitched on nylon, so I'll be watching here to find out the group consensus. ;)

Thanks so much, Jeri.....I am concerned about the rip runs when putting a needle to this material....

And if that doesn't work I'm out of ideas.

Here's a needle chart from All Stitch...looks like they say ball point...that's what I'd go with...

It is either ball point or sharp, ball point sounds good, won't snag.

Stabilize, stabilize, stabilize and then do your stitch around to secure the area. Good luck. Hugs. Nan

OK, cuties, did my first one last night and will post a pic when I have a minute to do so. Used the ball point needle and then sticky stabilizer, pinned the jacket to the hoop as I didn't want the holes in the jacket from running a basting stitch, and floated a stiff piece of stabilizer under hoop. Worked out great!! Thanks for all your advice!!
