I want to used metallic thread on an embroidery design.I know that I should lower the machines speed & use a metalfil needle but what is the best thread to use in the bobbin?I have read the tutorial at Embroidery Library.Any other hints would be appreciated .

I have only used metallic thread with m FSL so I used the matching polyester color in the bobbin. it worked!

I have use my usual prewound bobbin thread with no problem. I do put the metallic thread on a thread stand which I place at least a couple of feet from the machine so it has time to cool and unwind properly. The machine is threaded normally. Enjoy using the thread. Your design will look so beautiful with it.

I too use my normal/usual pre wound bobbin and slow the stitching speed down.
