Here are pictures of the lamp shade I made for my mom. I had to reconstruct the supports that connected the top and bottom. They are the floral designs. I mad a square lantern for my cousin with the Eiffel Tower. The designs are from Embroider Library.

These are so much fun! I have a lampshade that needs repair, and I love those square silhouette lamps. I like this better than trying to work with rice paper!

I am not sure if we have met. My name is Christine from Denver. Welcome to Cute!
by waterhedgie 07 May 2013
Thank you Christine. I am Cyndy from Minnesota. I used 100% cotton muslin fabric. After vacation I want to make lamp shades for our Living Room. I have not decided on the designs yet.

What lovely lamp shades you've made. I'm sure your mom &cousin will enjoy them too( the eiffel tower reminds me of a late friend who loved France). Also, like to welcome you to cute embroidery from Arizona&God bless.:~D

Thank you. When the room is darker and the light is on the designs show off nicely.

I had purchased the square lamp at Target and removed the shade part and traced out a pattern. I found the directions on Embroidery Library Project area. I want my son to make square lamps out of wood for me.
