Hey ladies I need a little help. An elderly lady asked me to make her a shoe holder that looks like bloomers. said her Mom made one for her back in the 60's, anyone have a clue how to find such a pattern?

Try Googling Fabric shoe holder patterns that look like Bloomers. Maybe something will come up, or even YouTube. Love Chris

Since I am at a loose end, I was going to try to assist by doing a Google search............................but then I thought, what happens if the wife looks at my search history and realises that I have been looking at ladies bloomers!! Yikes!! So with regret, I must pass on that.

Contrary to the concerns I expressed below, I did succumb and did the search exactly as my good friend pennifold had suggested, with the full confidence that she wouldn't drop me in the mire! To be honest, I didn't know such garments existed (being the pure as the driven snow type that I am). Alas, despite getting to page 14, I found nothing remotely resembling the item raised in the enquiry. However, upon my return here, I did have one PM suggesting a site that I should try but believe that this PM was intended for someone else. I am now in deep doo doo!!!!

Is she talking about one that will hold 1 pair in the suitcase, or one that holders several pairs in the closet??

Depending on the size of the .....ahem....shoe? You could just put a drawstring in the top of a real pair and stitch a seam up the middle to separate. (I don't think you would need to add anything for lift) hee hee.

Thanks you to everyone who searched for me ,especially poor Dennis!
I searched using every search engine known to man and in every possible wording format with no luck. At a craftshow yesterday a lady said she remembered her Mom had one for travel and it looked like dolly bloomers. I found a pattern for those and I am going to make a pair up and see if that comes close to what the woman wants.

I wish you every success with the pattern you have acquired but only sorry I couldn't find anything for you. Casting my mind back to the dim and distant days of my youth (during which period I was as pure as the driven snow) I do recall seeing ladies bloomers hanging in the windows of haberdashery shops..................and to be frank, you could have got a pair of wellington boots in each leg and still have room for the suitcase!! Imelda Marcos (aka my wife) would not be content even with this size (for her shoes) and she does not travel lightly! You could, of course, try writing a nice letter to Sir Tom Jones who must have an enormous stash of all the knickers these more mature ladies throw at him when performing on stage.
