Etui - Sewing Box. I made this a while ago for a Lady. It was gone as soon as I finished it. They take ages to make. The top Pic is when it is opened.

That is really awesome. I love your choice of fabric too!! What did you use to fasten it together? Does it stay together once it is finished, or is this the type that folds flat?
I think you've done a beautiful job, and can sure see why it would go so fast!!

You just fold it up and when you put the lid on it makes it into the box.

My mum used to make these and instead of making them for sewing she used to embroider a special design that had meaning for the person on each side. Both my girls have them and I also have one with xmas designs inside they are very special to me as my mum is no longer alive

I have made many of these over the years. Carolyn, I have just the fabric you would love. Think I have sold to as many people who want them now as people are interested but now not selling so many. This one was an order.

I agree, There is a lot of work making these. When I made my first one I had glue every where. The next one was a lot easier. Shirley

If I sit and do nothing else all day I can make one in a day, but otherwise it takes two days. I glue mine as well but I think the best ones would be hand sewn. Can you imagine how much you would have to charge if there was no glue and all hand sewn?

Thank You for this. I have just been into Stitch Delight and bought it. Might not take as long as mine and is different.
