Amy and I did some sewing last night. Bless her heart this is a wooden box for her girlfriend who had a little girl on Tuesday called Maeva Louise. I bought her some calico, cotton lace, and some lovely pink fabric for a baby blanket. Well, once the blanket was done she asked me to put baby's name on it. So that was done. She cut out the fabric and I sewed the cotton lace on the box liner and we put in the Bapron and the little Owl that she had made. She had also bought a lovely white dress, a one piece suit and another bought owl. I think it looks fabulous and Kristen (the mother of Maeva) will absolutely adore all the work and effort that has gone into this gift. Amy is a wonderful friend to all her girlfriends and puts lots of thought into their gifts. We had so much fun doing it - wish we could do it more often. Maybe when O is a bit older. Love and blessings Chris

1. Maeva Louise in Adina script.
2. Owl made by Amy all cut out by hand!!!! Sewn by my machine.
3. Bapron I made - which I showed earlier (double sided, chenille one side and the spotty on the front)
4. Basket of goodies all packed up!

Wonderful gifts. I like the owl the best! can I attach those adorable legs to one of our ITH owls. I am feeling an inspiration coming on! I have yet to make tMWOLockeSt owl. potholders vs owl I am so happy to have a choice! frog face is cute too!

Hi Chris, yes of course you can attach the legs to the ITH owls. Amy just literally cut out a shape, we cut out 2 circles of white felt and sewed the lines on them, she then cut out some corduroy I had for the legs and added the little square bits for the feet. She actually bought the frog from Baby Bunting here in Lake Macquarie. She is a clever clogs! Love Chris

Forgot to mention in the little wings she put in scrunched up cellophane! So it crackles when it's squeezed and two bells inside the belly where the stuffing is! Love C

Could you tell me were you purchased the Adina script font? I would love to use it for the names on my Grandsons wedding quilt. Thank you, so much. Your gift box is the greatest. Love it.

That's certainly true rescuer, I love spending time with her and Ophelie together, but at the end of the day, it's nice for our home to get back to "normal" and TIDY! as we like it, he he he! O tends to make a mess of our place when she is here, but at least we can clean it up once she has gone home. Love Chris
by kezza2sew 24 May 2013
Chris this is how it is with my two little GD's also, they leave a mess for GM..but I don't mind. Time is too precious to worry about making small children put ALL the fun things away.....

You're welcome Lynne. It's best to get an old wooden box, if Amy had time she said she would have sanded it back and given it a coating of veneer. Anyway, it still looks rustic as it is. Love Chris
P.S. Good luck for the new grand child to be!

looks fabulous Chris and Amy. Love your little Owl the best. Yesterday I cut one from a free pattern at HammerandThread.blogspot.com. Owls are lasting in 'vogue' longer than I thought [been putting off making one, but now have been drawn in!!]

Hi Vicki, how's good old South Australia? I was in my local chemist yesterday and there are owls everywhere! I don't know what the fascination is, but they are really cute! Glad to see you got a nice pattern too! Love Chris
